    Senior Investment Operations Associate​

    Jackie is a seasoned financial services professional with 20 years of experience in the industry. Prior to joining Magnus Financial Group, Jackie was a Senior Client Service Associate at Morgan Stanley for 16 years where she supported various financial advisors, trained new client service associates and assisted with the client onboarding of new advisor teams. Jackie has extensive financial services experience including investment operations and client onboarding.

    Jackie is bilingual in English and Spanish. She previously maintained the securities Series 7 registration.

    Jackie resides in Queens, New York with her husband and teenage son. An avid Peloton user, Jackie enjoys running, cycling, and practicing yoga and meditation. She loves to read, is a theater enthusiast and enjoys spending time with friends and family.

    Michael Handal, MBA

    Investment Research Analyst

    Michael Handal joined Magnus Financial Group as an intern in June 2022 and transitioned to a full-time role in August 2024. Michael is an Investment Research Analyst in the Investment Research & Trading team and plays a vital role in supporting the robust wealth management solutions offered by Magnus.

    During his collegiate career, Michael was a baseball player in NCAA Division I for six years and he also served as a Representative of the NCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for Fairfield. Michael is now a proud member of the Fairfield Baseball Alumni Association.

    Michael earned his Bachelor and Master of Science in Finance from Fairfield University. He further enhanced his academic credentials by completing his graduate studies with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Stetson University.

    Michael resides in Garden City, NY.

    Jaclyn David

    Client Relationship Manager / Consultant​

    Jaclyn joined Magnus as a Consultant and Client Relationship Manager for Michael Tanney, (a Magnus wealth management advisor) in 2023.  She has over 11 years of investment management experience in the financial services sector, including private banking and private wealth management. She is responsible for supporting Michael Tanney’s practice and helping provide service to his clientele.

     

    Prior to joining Magnus, Jaclyn spent over seven years as a Wealth Management Professional and Vice President at Goldman Sachs in Private Wealth Management, where she provided high touch client service to high-net-worth individuals and family offices.  She spearheaded day-to-day business and operations including investment management, financial planning and banking services to meet the needs of each individual client.  Jaclyn started her career in financial services as a Financial Officer at U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management.

     

    Jaclyn earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a concentration in Marketing from Binghamton University School of Management.  She previously maintained both Series 7 and 63 registrations. Jaclyn currently resides in River Vale, New Jersey with her husband and 3 children, Maya, Reese and Noah.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and reading.

    Ani Iyengar

    Investment Associate

    Ani joined Magnus Financial Group in December 2024 as an Investment Associate in the Investment Research & Trading Department.

    Prior to joining Magnus, Ani spent two years as an associate on the Investment Team at Wealthspire Advisors, where he was responsible for conducting comprehensive due diligence on both recommended and prospective Mutual Funds, ETFs, Alternatives, and SMAs. He then went on to join JPMorgan Chase on the Managed Account Solutions desk, helping newly onboarded legacy First Republic financial advisors manage their portfolios and trade equities, fixed income, and mutual funds.

    Ani received a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Economics, with minors in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Tufts University in 2021. He currently resides in Manhattan, NY.

    Thomas Barber

    Advanced Planning Consultant

    Thomas began his career in financial services in 2000. Thomas recently transitioned to a consulting role, having formerly been Magnus’ Chief Marketing and Chief Business Development Officer since the company launch in 2017. Before joining Magnus, he worked as Director of Business Development for Pioneer Financial operating within the Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management Company.

    Thomas founded Thomas Kelly LLC a project finance & business advisory in 2006. The business helps business owners and real estate developers secure capital through nontraditional debt structures with a primary focus on preserving client equity. Thomas is relied upon by a network of advisors throughout the country for his advanced tax planning knowledge. He applies a multidisciplinary approach to solving complex tax problems and is the architect of a variety of esoteric planning strategies which combine advanced planning solutions to mitigate tax, optimize enterprise value and enhance asset protection.

    Thomas is also a Founding Member of Advisors Equity Group, an innovative equity-owned think tank made up of financial service professionals and centers of influence from around the world. He is a Legacy Member of the National Association of Cash Flow Advisors (NACFA). He holds his Life, Accident & Health Insurance license and is actively working on his Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) and Certified Digital Asset Advisor (CDAA) credentials. Thomas also serves as an outside Advisor to Trust-CFO, Parkhill Advisory Group and Liquid Rarity Exchange (LRE). LRE owns a family of patents which allow them to offer SEC and FINRA compliant private and public offerings and secondary trading to investors of fractional rarity interests.

    Thomas grew up on Eastern Long Island. He graduated from Cornell University having earned a Bachelor of Science in Design & Environmental Analysis. While there he balanced his time between academics and athletics, playing linebacker on the varsity football team and a member of the Sphinx Head Society. Thomas resides in Westchester County, New York with his partner Jennifer and their two children.

    Lisa Marie

    Executive Assistant | Receptionist

    Lisa Marie has been an Executive Assistant for over fifteen years. In her career she has supported the Founder/CIO as well as the President of an Alternative Credit Manager focused on specialized credit strategies based in Holmdel, NJ. Prior to that, she supported C-Level Executives on a contract basis in the consulting and financial industries.

    Lisa grew up and currently resides in New Jersey and received her BA from Saint Leo University. She loves the outdoors, rollerblading, traveling and spending time with close friends and family.

    David Taylor, LUTCF

    Director of Insurance Services

    David began his insurance career in 2008 and holds his Life, Accident, Health, Property & Casualty Insurance licenses. Prior to joining Magnus, David had experience working as an adviser directly with clients, as well as brokerage experience supporting independent insurance advisers nationally. David earned his Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF®) designation from The American College in 2011. At Magnus, David is responsible for facilitating all new insurance applications, administering in-force contracts, being the liaison to our outside brokerage partners and answering all insurance related questions for prospective and active clients.

    David grew up in Pound Ridge, NY enjoying the outdoors and playing sports, in particular Lacrosse. He attended Hobart College where he joined Phi Sigma Kappa and earned his degree in Environmental Sciences. David now resides in Fairfield County, CT with his two children Lilly & Johnny.

    Brett Deutsch

    Investment Operations Associate

    Brett Deutsch joined Magnus as an intern supporting investment operations. Brett joined the firm on a full-time basis in February of 2021 as an Investment Operations Associate. Brett plays an important role in supporting the advisory team with data collection, investment research and reporting on alternative investments.

    Brett began his working career in the film industry with various editing and journalistic roles. He later transitioned into finance and digital media, which has enabled him to provide valuable support to the advisory team.

    Brett received his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Fairleigh Dickinson University and has a certificate degree in UX Design creating prototypes.

    Brett currently resides in Manhattan and enjoys sports, hiking and reading.

    Joseph M. Eppedio, MBA

    Senior Investment Associate

    Joseph M. Eppedio joined Magnus Financial Group in May 2023. Joseph is a Senior Investment Associate in the firm’s Investment Research & Trading Department.

    Prior to joining Magnus, Joseph held a Senior Portfolio Manager position in the Portfolio Solutions group at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. During his tenure at Morgan Stanley, he demonstrated exceptional leadership skills by spearheading two new advisory programs with over $7 billion in AUM, creating investment solutions for both Institutional and Offshore clients. Joe was responsible for trading and managing Separately Managed Account (SMA) sleeves for client portfolios. He was also responsible for business expansion and creating new business flows by collaborating with key Morgan Stanley’s financial advisors and business partners. Additionally, Joe held roles in business risk management and financial operations.

    Joseph received both his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Bachelor of Science in Finance from Sacred Heart University – John F. Welch College of Business. He previously maintained Series 7 and 66 licenses.

    Joseph resides in Westbury, NY. with his wife and son.

    Michael Margiasso, MBA

Prior to joining Magnus Financial Group, Michael was a Private Client Investment Associate at JP Morgan Chase Bank, N.A. Michael has financial services experience including investment operations and client onboarding.

    Michael earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and completed his graduate studies with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Iona College. He has earned his Life/Health Insurance licensing and previously maintained securities Series 7 and 66 registrations.

    Michael resides in Harrison, New York. He enjoys attending fitness classes and spending time with friends and family.

    Jonathan Rodriquez

    Vice President, Client Relationship Manager

    Jonathan Rodriquez joined Magnus in early 2022. Jonathan is a VP, Client Relationship Manager and plays an important role in supporting our advisory team in their daily client related activities.

    Prior to joining Magnus, Jonathan was a Portfolio Associate with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. While at Morgan Stanley, he supported multiple financial advisors and investment teams where he catered to the unique needs of each business partner. His role was very hands on primarily encompassing account openings, maintenance, placing trades, and processing money movement request. Prior to Morgan, he served as an Investment Specialist at National Securities Corporation, a full-service brokerage firm.

    Jonathan received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management at St. John’s University. He previously maintained securities Series 7, 63 and 66 registrations.

    Jonathan resides in Kew Gardens, NY. In his spare time, he enjoys sports, weightlifting, Latin dancing and spending time with his friends and family.

    Leslie Hwang

    VP, Client Relationship Manager

    Leslie has over 15 years of investment management experience in the financial services sector, including private banking, private equity and asset management. She is responsible for supporting the advisory team to help deliver holistic financial planning while maintaining the ongoing client relationship and experience.

    Prior to joining Magnus, Leslie spent six years as the Chief of Staff at KBL Merger Corp. IV, a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), where she spearheaded day-to-day business and operations including investor relations, deal sourcing and private company research. She played a critical role in the successful completion of the company’s $175 million sale and exit in 2020. Earlier in her career, she spent six years at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. While there, she was promoted several times and held several positions, including project manager, business analyst and wealth advisor. Leslie started her career in financial services as a Research Associate at SunAmerica Mutual Funds.

    Leslie earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from SUNY Geneseo. She previously maintained both Series 7 and 63 registrations. Leslie currently resides in New York City. In her spare time, she enjoys international travel, fitness, running marathons, cooking and spending quality time with her daughter.

    Anthony Natelli, CFA®, CAIA®, CPWA®, RMA®

    Director of Investment Research and Trading

    Anthony Natelli, CFA®, CAIA®, CPWA®, RMA® joined Magnus Financial Group in May 2020. Anthony is the Director of Investment Research & Trading and plays a vital role in supporting the robust wealth management solutions offered by Magnus.

    Prior to joining Magnus, Anthony was Assistant Vice President in the investment department of Dynasty Financial Partners. While at Dynasty, Anthony provided investment research to financial advisors, participated in the investment committee and consulted on portfolio construction for high-net-worth individuals. He has held additional roles in wealth management at City National Rochdale and NYLIFE Securities.

    Anthony received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Iona College and is bilingual in English and Spanish. He previously maintained Series 7, 56 and 63 licenses and currently holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation, Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA®) designation and is a member of CFA Society New York.

    Anthony resides in Rye, NY and is an avid boater in the Long Island Sound.

    Shannel Leow, CFP®

    Director of Investment Operations

    Shannel began her career in finance in 2008. She holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional certification, a Life, Accident and Health Insurance license and is a Notary Public. Shannel is responsible for handling client service, scheduling and operations management. Prior to coming to the US to join Pioneer Financial, she lived in Australia for 10 years where she worked at a stockbroking firm as an assistant to a team of stockbrokers.

    Shannel was born and raised in Malaysia. She later moved to Sydney, Australia where she earned a Bachelor of Business in Finance, Banking and Financial Planning from University of Technology, Sydney. Shannel has a passion for working out and currently resides in Stamford, CT.

    Louis Sorsaia

    Chief Operating Officer

    Louis joined Magnus Financial Group in May 2019 as Chief Operating Officer. Louis began his career in finance in 1999. He has extensive oversight experience managing front-to-back infrastructure and operations.

    He has a dynamic business background and proven track record. Prior to joining Magnus, Louis spent the majority of his career working at Deutsche Bank holding various senior fixed income positions, most notably as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer for Debt Americas, Global Chief Operating Officer for GLM (Global Liquidity Management), and Co-Chair & COO of FIC FRM (Financial Resource Management). He also served as a Director and Chief Operating Officer for RMBS (Residential Mortgage Backed Securities) and DBCM (Deutsche Bank Capital Management), and as a Product Controller across Equities, Foreign Exchange, Institutional Client Group and Securitized Products during his time at Deutsche Bank. Prior to working at Deutsche Bank, Louis began his Wall Street career at The Bank of New York as an Investment Accountant.

    Louis graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Saint Francis College. Louis has a passion for charities near and dear to his heart. As a survivor of pediatric open-heart surgery, Louis enjoys the opportunity to help advance the treatment of pediatric heart disease. He is a board member of the Babies Heart Fund at Columbia University Medical Center.

    Louis resides in New Jersey with his wife, Jennifer, two sons, John and Vincent, and dog, Charlie. Louis enjoys attending his sons’ sporting events, days at the shore, and travelling with his family.

    David Harrison, Esq.

    General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer

    David Harrison co-founded the firm with Michael Schwartz.  He began his career in law over 25 years ago and has been instrumental in addressing and overseeing various management level matters at Magnus, including those pertaining to legal, compliance, operations, HR, IT, business development and marketing. 
     
    Prior to joining Magnus, David was a chief compliance officer and served as an executive with multiple publicly-traded companies, including Fifth Street Asset Management, Fifth Street Finance Corp. and Fifth Street Senior Floating Rate Corp.  He began his career as a corporate and securities attorney with both Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP and Huber Lawrence & Abell. 
     
    David grew up in upstate New York’s Capital District. He graduated from Brandeis University with a Bachelors of Arts (summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa). While there, he balanced his time between academics and athletics, serving as captain of the varsity golf team and secretary of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. He then attended Boston University School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor degree. David is an avid golfer and musician and resides in Westchester with his wife and sons.

    Chase Wickenheiser, CFP®

    Associate

    Chase Wickenheiser joined Magnus in 2023 as an Associate. Prior to joining Magnus, Chase was an Associate at Modus Park Associates since 2020. Chase partners with his clients to help them organize their current Financial Picture, advance their future Financial Standings, and motivate them to continually achieve their Financial Goals. He holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional certification, a Life/Health Insurance license, and previously maintained securities Series 7 and 66 registrations.

    Chase’s goal is to develop a business of long-term relationships, where he is not only viewed by his clients as providing sound financial leadership but is also regarded as a genuine and trusted partner of their interests.

    Chase earned his Bachelor of Economics along with a minor in Business while attending Cornell University. While there, Chase was a student-athlete playing Varsity Football as a 3-year-letterman Defensive Tackle, and an active volunteer in multiple charitable groups where he worked with children and conducted on-campus tutoring. Chase has translated that experience from his college career into guest lectures at various institutions and groups such as Cornell University, Geisinger Medical Residency Program, Texas Young Lawyers Association, charitable groups such as New Venture Academy and The Grooming Alchemist, where he has made presentations on Financial Literacy topics.

    Away from the office, Chase enjoys competing in Sprint Triathlons, playing in numerous basketball leagues, and exploring the various restaurants/activities/events of New York City (ask me for a recommendation!). He is the son of Kort and Cathy, as well as the older brother to two goofy, younger brothers named Chris and Jackson.

    Scott Kephart, CRPC®, CLTC®

    Vice President

    Scott joined Magnus in early 2022. Prior to joining Magnus, Scott was Vice President of Modus Park Associates. While there he was a Financial Advisor with MassMutual® and a Registered Representative of MML Investors Services, LLC.

    He has been working in the financial services industry his entire career. He started in the institutional fixed income markets in London. He later moved to New York, trading credit products for some of the major Wall Street banks including First Boston, Morgan Stanley, and Deutsche Bank. In 2007, he embarked on a more entrepreneurial career as a Financial Advisor, starting at Merrill Lynch, then transitioning to Wells Fargo’s independent platform. In 2016, he made the move to the independent broker-dealer channel joining Northwestern Mutual working again as a Financial Advisor.

    Scott graduated from Cal Poly – San Luis Obispo with honors in International Economics. He currently holds the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®) and Certified in Long Term Care (CLTC) designations along with his Life, Accident & Health Insurance license and previously maintained his securities Series 7, 24, 63 and 66 registrations.

    Scott grew up in the San Francisco area. He now lives in Morristown, NJ with his wife Debbie.

    Drew J. Collins, CFA®, MBA

    Senior Managing Director

    Drew Collins, CFA®, MBA, joined Magnus in 2022 as a Senior Managing Director. Prior to joining Magnus, Drew was a Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income at Greenwich Investment Management (GIM). Prior to joining GIM, Drew operated his own firm, DJC Capital Management, and prior to that, he was with Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association (formerly TIAA-CREF), a retirement provider of financial services for the academic, research, medical, cultural and governmental industries, where he served as head of the organization’s international active equity investments, Co-Manager of the Stock Account and Lead Manager of the firm’s Global Equities Account. Drew was also the Co-Founder of Federated Global Investment Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of Federated Investors (now Federated Hermes), one of the nation’s largest mutual fund companies. Drew holds the Charter Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation.

    Drew graduated from Oberlin College with an A.B. in Economics and Government. He subsequently attended the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School where he received his MBA. Drew currently lives in Westchester County, NY with his wife, son, dog and cat. Drew is an avid swimmer during the summer and a gym regular during the winter.

    William “Billy” Bowden

    Senior Vice President

    Billy joined Magnus in early 2024. Prior to joining Magnus, Billy was a Senior Vice President of Modus Park Associates. While there, he was a Financial Advisor with MassMutual® and a Registered Representative of MML Investors Services, LLC.

    For a quarter of a century, Billy has lent his unique insights into the financial challenges faced by high net worth individuals, C-level executives, as well as inter-generational families, millenials and start-up teams.

    Paul F. Hoerrner Jr., CFP®

    Paul helps high net worth clients achieve their goals and objectives related to wealth accumulation, protection, and distribution by applying a special blend of knowledge, experience and skill. He began his career in finance approximately 25 years ago and has helped hundreds of clients over the years.

    Prior to joining Magnus Financial Group, Paul was a Managing Director and Wealth Management Advisor affiliated with the Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management Company. While there he achieved various professional honors and was recognized for his consistent top-level performance.

    Paul earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Banking and Finance while attending Hofstra University. While there, he was a student athlete playing golf all four years competing at a Division I Level. His commitment to higher learning has allowed him to not only differentiate himself from his peers but significantly advance his competency, knowledge and skill set. He holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional certification, his Life/Health Insurance licensing and previously maintained securities Series 7, 63, 66, 55 and 26 registrations. He is currently working toward a professional ACCREDITED ESTATE PLANNERTM (AEP®) and the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) designations.

    Paul resides in Montclair, NJ and enjoys staying very active. His passions include fitness, travel, golf, and most of all quality time with his two children.

    Michael Tanney

    Senior Managing Director

    Michael joined Magnus Financial Group in April 2019. His previous investment experience includes Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management, where he advised corporate executives, private business owners, government officials, multi-generational families and foundations on approximately $12 billion in assets. Michael has been quoted in Forbes, US News, Newsday, CBS News, USA Today, Yahoo! Finance, and has made appearances on various videos and podcasts. He is a founding member of the NASDAQ Advisory Council, a member of the Financial Times’ Financial Advisor IQ Leadership Council, is Life Insurance licensed, and previously maintained securities Series 7, 63, 65, and 66 registrations.

    Michael earned a Bachelor of Science in Management from Indiana University and is an emeritus member of the Indiana University Distinguished Alumni Council. He received his Master of Science in Education, summa cum laude, from Baruch College’s Austin W. Marxe School of Public and International Affairs, where he is currently the Chairman of the Dean’s Advisory Council. He also guest lectures at Cornell University and the City University of New York on direct private investments in early-stage companies, advanced estate planning, social entrepreneurship, and financial literacy.

    Away from the office, Michael is an Eagle Scout award recipient, a member of the Screen Actors Guild, enjoys competing in triathlons, and experiencing culture through travel. He’s actively involved in multiple philanthropic endeavors, with a recent focus on helping solve food insecurity. Michael resides in New York City with his high school sweetheart Jaclinn, and their two sons.

    Sharon Hayut, CDFA®

    Senior Managing Director

    Sharon Hayut, CDFA® joined Magnus in January 2022 as a Senior Managing Director. She is responsible for advising individuals, families, and single-family offices on a variety of wealth management and estate planning topics. She has over 15 years’ experience working with multi-generational wealth. Prior to joining Magnus, Sharon was a Senior Vice President at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. At Morgan Stanley, she provided comprehensive financial counseling to high net-worth individuals, advising clients on investment opportunities, tax issues, estate planning, employee benefits and compensation decisions. Sharon works directly with a select group of ultra-high net-worth individuals, multigenerational families, corporate executives, and entrepreneurs to help them address the complexities that come along with having significant wealth. She offers guidance based on her deep understanding of her client’s immediate and long-term needs. She puts an emphasis on being highly responsive and providing an objective and detailed approach to cultivate exceptional and long-lasting relationships.

    Sharon has been named Forbes’ Best-In-State Women Wealth Advisors (2022), Forbes Top Women Wealth Advisors (2021), Working Mother & SHOOK Top Wealth Advisor Moms (2020, 2019, 2018), Forbes/SHOOK® Best-in-State-Next-Gen Wealth Advisors list (NYC – 2018), and Forbes/SHOOK® Research’s Top Next-Gen Wealth Advisors (2018).     Ron Deutsch, CFA®, MBA

    Senior Managing Director

    Ron joined Magnus Financial Group in December 2018. He works with high net worth clients to achieve their goals and objectives related to wealth accumulation, preservation and distribution. His 30 years of Wall Street financial experience and portfolio management gives him a unique advantage in advising client portfolios. Ron has been an advisor and portfolio manager since 2007 with previously held positions at Dynasty Financial, Lebenthal Asset Management and Sage Capital. Ron holds the Charter Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and previously maintained Series 63 and 8 registrations.

    Prior to his advisory and asset management career, Ron spent over 20 years in institutional fixed income positions working on the sell side. He was a partner at Bear Stearns & Co. for the majority of his career where he specialized in investment grade, high yield and mortgage backed securities. It was during his tenure at Bear Stearns that Ron developed his deep knowledge of fixed income markets which he applies today in providing advice to clients for their portfolios. Prior to Bear Stearns, Ron held senior positions in fixed income at Kidder Peabody and Prudential Securities He subsequently joined BNP Paribas as a managing director where he was hired with a group to build out a corporate bond department for their New York office.

    Ron graduated Binghamton University with a B.S. in accounting. He subsequently attended Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management where he received his MBA. Upon graduation, Ron started his career with Drexel Burnham as an associate in investment banking. Ron currently lives in Katonah, NY with his wife Adrienne. They have three boys working and living in Manhattan. Their only remaining dependent at home is Kylie, their German Shepard. Ron is an avid tennis player and ice hockey fan.

    Michael S. Schwartz, CFP®, AEP®

    Chief Executive Officer & President

    Michael Schwartz, CFP®, AEP® is the founder, Chief Executive Officer and a Wealth Management Advisor of Magnus. Michael began his career in finance over 20 years ago and during that time his unique skill set has been recognized nationally as a premier wealth management advisor in the financial services industry.

    In 2023, Michael was named to the Forbes/SHOOK® Research’s Top Financial Security Professional list for the 2nd year and for the fourth year in a row to the Forbes/SHOOK® Research’s Best-In-State Wealth Advisors list (NYC). Michael was also named to Financial Times’ Financial Advisor IQ Leadership Council in 2021, a community of advisors focused on growing their clientele and sharing input that fuels research to help professionals strengthen their practices. In 2019, Michael was named to WealthManagement.com’s inaugural Thrive Awards. Magnus was also recognized by RIA Channel to the Top 100 RIA Wealth Manager list in 2019 and FA Magazine’s Top RIA Ranking list (2018-2023). Prior to founding Magnus, Michael was a partner and wealth management advisor with Pioneer Financial at Northwestern Mutual’s Park Avenue Office. While there, he achieved various professional honors and was recognized for his consistent top-level performance. In 2017, Michael was named to the Top 400 Financial Adviser List by Financial Times.

    Michael earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics along with a minor in English while attending Fairfield University. While there, he was a student-athlete playing Varsity Baseball all four years competing at a Division I Level. He holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional certification, the Accredited Estate Planner® designation, his Life/Health Insurance licenses and previously maintained securities Series 6, 7, 63, 66 registrations.
